Students From Lifou, New Caledonia visit Balmoral!!

This morning we welcomed 3 teachers and 11 students from Laura Boula School in Lifou, New Caledonia to Balmoral. Even though the weather wasn't playing nice, our school band performed and we received some gifts from our new friends. I am sure they will have a great time visiting Balmoral and New Zealand.

So, what is the importance of cultural exchanges between schools? Write a comment and share your thoughts!

I think that it is important for schools from different cultures to exchange. Firstly because it makes the exchange student learn about New Zealand culture and can make them see a difference between their country and ours. Exchanging can also give them a chance to taste the different types of food we have and we could taste theirs!

I really like the new students. It is always good to here what school is like from another place in the world.

but its also good for people from other cultures to also learn another language!

The more students That interact with other culture the more we will be able to learn about different people, how they live, what daily routines do they go through, and how strict are their rules. It was really exciting to see the New Caledonian people visit us and those gifts were really pretty.

I agree with everyone that other people form other cultures can learn our language at NZ and we can learn their language. They can also learn what we do in NZ.☺
